Gregory Thielker
Holy goodness these works of art from Gregory Thielker’s Under the unminding sky series are OIL PAINTINGS not photographs. People are so talented.

Misery
There is a problem on the blog. I can no longer control the font and well it is driving me INSANE. I also have a cold and that just makes everything 10x more miserable. If tomorrow were Saturday and school could be forgotten I would just stay in bed.

Mothers
Q&A from StoryCorps on Vimeo.
This mother is inspiring and reminds me of my own. She is not afraid to bare it all though honesty. You can tell that not only does she listen with genuine interest, but that she respects him. It cannot be easy to work with any child, but I think that in respecting as well as loving your kids you create a genuine relationship with them.

But it's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then. - Alice in Wonderland
I think white hair is cool. I have one grandmother who still has her natural brown hair color and one with white so either way I think I am set.

This break was wonderful. Spa days, family, friends, movies, food, books. I actually had time to sit and read books that I wanted to read! The best part was the family and the friends. There is no better way to spend your time than around a table decked out with food and surrounded by people you like. Now, does school really have to start again?

Jean Paul Gaultier
Naturally after seeing that Jean Paul Gaultier's collections were coming to the DMA I had to look at his collections. Not only is he forever famed for giving Madonna the cone bra but his avant garde creations are strangely addicting. His spring 2011 ready to wear collection is not exactly something that I would be ready to wear, but the punk rock nature of his collection and diverse model selection created a palpable sense of rebellion that was hard to resist. Then there is the fact that with no formal training he began his innovative career at 18. It is a little less than a year away but DANG I literally cannot wait to see his exhibit.

Dallas Museum of Art
I am beyond excited for the Dallas Museum of Art's exhibit on Jean Paul Gaultier. I can imagine that one's appreciation for his intricate designs can only increase with the chance to view his collections up close.

SKATE UGANDA
Inspiration
Kitintale from Yann Gross on Vimeo.
I admire anyone who has a passion for their job. A professional skateboarder and a doctor or perhaps just a doctor who skateboards. Whatever it is I doubt that there is anything more rewarding than having excitement for life.
